Ballechin 10 Year is a heavily peated Highland single malt Scotch from the Edradour Distillery peated to at least 50 ppm phenol. It matures mainly in ex-bourbon casks with a generous top dressing of ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Light golden amber in color it offers aromas of honeyed rice puff cereal smoked crme brle and a hint of campfire. The palate is satiny dry-yet-fruity and medium-to-full bodied leading to a very long finish of smoky peat iodine honeyed dried stone fruit and wet slate. Unchillfiltered with natural color; it may turn cloudy with water or ice which is normal. 95 points and Best Highland Single Malt Scotch 2018 International Review of Spirits.
